Our Most Recent Adoptions

Lily (Adopted 6/22/2025)
Congratulations to Danielle M. on her adoption of Lily
This was a match made in Heaven and a winning team in more ways than one!

Nutmeg (Adopted 1/24/25)
Nutmeg came to our rescue with her mini herd last summer. In her time at the rescue she began to open up and show us her personality. After her herd members, including her foal, went their separate ways and found forever homes, Nutmeg finally found a home to call her own where she now spends her days getting all the love she could ever ask for with her new pasture mate.

Charlie Brown (Adopted 11/23/24)
& Muffin (Adopted 12/13/24)
Charlie Brown and Muffin were part of our mini herd that was rescued last summer. In her time at the rescue she began to open up and show us her personality. Once they became available for adoption, these two quickly found a forever home together! Charlie Brown was the first to go home and not long after he was joined by little Muffin. We are so happy that these two found a wonderful home together!

Tucker (Adopted 10/19/24)
Tucker is a beautiful young quarter horse cross that was surrendered to DITR to find a new home which he quickly found with one of our volunteers! Today he continues to live his best life grazing among fellow rescue horses and getting all the love from his new owner.

Jewels (Adopted 3/10/24)
Jewels is a beautiful little pony who returned to the rescue in order to find a new forever home last winter. This girl has done quite a bit in her time as a rescue and even once participated in the Smithfield Christmas Parade! She found a home to call her own in March and lives happily as a pasture pony.
Jack Jack (Adopted 2/24/24)
Jack Jack is a Jerusalem donkey who has the most playful personality. He returned to the rescue in January in search of his forever family and quickly found it with his puppy-dog disposition. Jack Jack quickly stole the hearts of everyone at the rescue and while it was sad to see him go, we couldn't be happier for him and his new family!

EZ (Adopted 9/15/23)
EZ came to Diamonds in the Rough Rescue in 2022 as an animal control intake. When he first arrived, his front hooves were severely overgrown and he was in severe need of vet and dental care. Now this sweet boy is feeling better, his hooves are on the mend and, best of all, this shiny diamond found his forever home.
We're all so proud of you EZ!
