A heart-shaped Love Lock is a lasting tribute to a person or an animal who holds a place in your heart - installed at Diamond In The Rough, given a permanent Love Lock ID, and kept in our commemorative registry. In memory of, or in honor of. Every lock supports the animals in our care.

In Memory Of. In Honor Of.

A Love Lock does not have to remember someone who has died. Many are bought in honor of someone very much alive - a mother, a father, a grandparent, a child, a spouse or partner, a friend, a veteran. Others remember a horse, a dog, a cat, a DITR Diamond, or an animal who has crossed the Rainbow Bridge.

Every Love Lock is installed at Diamond In The Rough and becomes part of a lasting commemorative installation here at the farm. Proceeds support the horses and donkeys in our care - the rescue, restoring, retraining, rehoming and retirement work that DITR does every day.

Choose Your Love Lock

LARGE LOVE LOCK - $20. Heart shaped, gold, approximately 45 mm, zinc alloy.

SMALL LOVE LOCK - $15. Heart shaped, approximately 25 x 32 mm, in Pink, Green, Red, Yellow, Purple, Blue or Light Pink.

There is no custom engraving. The only marking on the lock is the tracking number DITR engraves so we can identify it. Love Lock purchasing opens soon - the registry below is already open to explore.

How It Works

1. PURCHASE YOUR LOVE LOCK. Choose a Large Love Lock at $20, or a Small Love Lock at $15 in the color you want.

2. TELL US WHO IT HONORS. After your purchase we send you instructions to submit the tribute for each lock you bought - so several locks in one order can honor several different people or animals.

3. WE PREPARE YOUR LOCK. DITR assigns a permanent Love Lock ID, engraves the tracking number, and creates the QR code that opens your lock's page.

4. YOUR LOCK IS INSTALLED. We install it here at Diamond In The Rough and can add an installation photo and its location on the farm to your lock's page.

5. KEEP THE KEY. Your Love Lock stays with us. If you would like the key, we will mail it to you with a thank-you note.
